At RE Botanicals, we craft the highest quality, clean and safe products for our customers. RE Botanicals’ products are U.S.-grown and USDA certified organic. We have partnered with Pro-Cert, a USDA-accredited certifying agent, to certify that our ingredients and all aspects of the entire production process, from crop to packaging, meet the requirements of USDA’s National Organic Program (NOP). This means, all ingredients used to produce RE Botanicals’ products are organic, including the organic cane we use for our alcohol extraction.
We feel particularly strong about the importance of using organic hemp in CBD products, because hemp, or the cannabis plant, is a bioaccumulator. This means it acts like a sponge absorbing pesticides, chemicals and toxins from the soil faster than it uses or releases them. When extractions are made from non-organic hemp, those same toxins or pesticides are extracted, too. So, even if a CBD product says it’s organic, if the product is not USDA certified organic, then it’s not tested and regulated to the same standards as RE Botanicals products.
A variety of methods are used to extract CBD and other cannabinoids from the hemp plant. We use a gentle USDA certified organic alcohol extraction method to create our golden, full spectrum hemp extracts. Alcohol extraction is the method used by the traditional hemp apothecaries. Many non-organic brands use hexane or GMO solvents for processing such as corn ethanol. It’s important to look for a brand that is transparent about its processing methods and the output of those processing methods. At RE Botanicals, we put a modern spin on the traditional alcohol extraction method by using USDA certified organic cane. Non-organic alcohol extraction is typically done with conventional corn or sugar, which are typically GMO crops and are produced using pesticides or herbicides such as Gylphosate, the cancer-causing active ingredient in Round Up.
To create our hemp CBD oil, we blend our hemp extract with the gold standard in carrier oils, organic MCT oil. MCT oil is made from young organic coconuts and helps to enhance the body’s absorption of the CBD. No other additives, GMO or artificial ingredients are used in our products.
All of our products are third-party tested for heavy metals, solvents, pesticides and overall purity so you know exactly what’s in each product. Because we believe in full transparency, you can find our lab results, known as a Certificate of Analysis (CofA), on our website. You can simply check the batch number on your product’s label to view the lab results for that product. Our products have also been certified Glyphosate Residue Free by the Detox Project as a further testament to the purity of the products we provide.
The practice of third-party testing is used by high-quality dietary supplement companies not only for quality assurance but as a way to provide proof that what they say is in their products actually is. We want to offer the same transparency for our customers, we have nothing to hide. If a company doesn’t have or is not willing to share a CofA, then you might want to think twice about using their products.
